Ceramic corrugated packing is a disk-type structured packing composed of corrugated ceramic sheets arranged parallel and vertically to each other. It features a compact structure and large specific surface area.
When the tower diameter is less than 450 mm, the packing is made as a whole disk. When the diameter is larger than 450 mm, it is fabricated in segments.
Operating temperature up to 500 ℃ and bulk density of 500–1000 kg/m³. Sheet thickness varies: thicker sheets result in smaller specific surface area, while thinner sheets provide larger specific surface area for optimal separation or absorption.
Standard dimensions apply for high liquid flow processes like absorption and cooling. For low pressure drop applications (such as vacuum operations), lower peak height is utilized.
Generally about twice the peak height to ensure symmetrical corrugations; conventional corrugation pitches are widely adopted in industry.
Standard production height is 50 mm, up to a maximum of 200 mm. Smaller height enables more frequent redirection and superior liquid redistribution despite more complex installation.
Designed with an arrangement angle generally ranging between 30–45 degrees.

It is a structured disk-type ceramic packing designed for industrial towers to facilitate efficient gas-liquid contact, absorption, and cooling with minimal resistance.
For tower diameters under 450 mm, the packing is manufactured as a single whole disk. For diameters exceeding 450 mm, it is fabricated in segmented pieces for easier handling and installation.
The packing supports long-term operation up to 500 ℃ and short-term peaks up to 800 ℃. It is resistant to all organic solvents, acidic gases, and inorganic acids (excluding hydrofluoric acid HF).
The 90° staggered alignment forces liquid to redistribute evenly after passing through each disk layer, which dramatically improves gas-liquid contact efficiency while lowering system resistance.
Under normal industrial operating conditions, Ceramic Corrugated Structure Packing offers a service life of 5 to 8 years, whereas Ceramic Bellow Packing lasts between 6 to 10 years.
