Product Overview

Ceramic corrugated packing is a new type of structured packing, composed of many packing units with identical geometric shapes. It is mainly made of acid-resistant chemical hard porcelain, using high-quality kaolin and feldspar as the main raw materials. It is produced through processes including batching, ball milling, vacuum pulping, blank forming, corrugating, shaping, and special high-temperature firing. With a corrugated shape and regularly arranged structure, it is also known as structured corrugated packing.

Structural & Mechanical Design

A left clamping frame and a right clamping frame are symmetrically arranged on the left and right sides of the packing unit. The first corrugated packing plate and the second corrugated packing plate are installed in parallel and symmetrically, with a reinforced support frame vertically inserted between them. The first and second corrugated packing plates consist of connecting horizontal plates, clamping horizontal plates, first corrugations, second corrugations, and guiding horizontal plates. The reinforced support frame is vertically installed between a pair of vertically symmetrical guiding horizontal plates, with connecting bolts vertically installed at its upper and lower ends.

Thanks to the unique structure and excellent hydrophilicity of ceramic, a very thin liquid film with turbulence can form on its surface, and the inclined and tortuous channels can promote gas flow without blocking it. This allows ceramic packing to match the performance of metal packing, while offering superior corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the key raw materials used in 500Y Ceramic Corrugated Packing?
It is primarily made of high-quality acid-resistant chemical hard porcelain, formulated from kaolin and feldspar with high chemical purity (SiO₂ ≥ 72%, Al₂O₃ ≥ 23%, Fe₂O₃ ≤ 0.5%).
What temperature range can this ceramic packing operate in?
The 500Y model handles long-term operating temperatures from -50℃ to 800℃, and short-term temperatures up to 1000℃.
How does ceramic corrugated packing perform against chemical corrosion?
It delivers exceptional acid resistance (≥ 99.5%) and resists various inorganic acids (except HF), organic acids, organic solvents, acidic gases, H₂S, and chloride ions.
What tower dimensions are compatible with this packing model?
It is suitable for tower diameters ranging from 0.1 m to 11 m, fitting both small-scale laboratory units and large industrial towers.
What makes ceramic corrugated packing superior in mass transfer performance?
Its high hydrophilicity forms a thin turbulent liquid film, while its high specific surface area (500 m²/m³) and 45° corrugation inclination promote efficient gas-liquid contact with minimal pressure drop.
What is the expected service life under standard conditions?
Under normal operating and maintenance conditions, the service life typically spans between 5 to 8 years.
